Assistant Minister of Agriculture, Hon. Molebatsi Hands over 10 Tractors to Farmers in Kgatleng

The Assistant Minister of Agriculture, Mr Molebatsi Molebatsi, led the handing over ceremony of 10 tractors acquired under the Temo-Letlotlo Arable Programme in Mochudi today. Speaking at the event Assistant Minister emphasized the Ministry’s focus on promoting minimum tillage and precision Agriculture to increase productivity and move away from less eco-friendly conventional methods. He emphasized that the tractors will support timely ploughing for both the recipients and neighboring farmers, ultimately enhancing farm yields and contributing to the country’s food security.

He also urged the beneficiaries to use the tractors for optimal outcomes .The assistant Minister also informed the community about other benefits such as the availability of additional implements accessible through the Temo-Letlotlo Arable Programme.

In Kgatleng District, 70 applications have been received for the programme, with 45 applicants having paid their 50% contribution and 30 already receiving funding from the National Development Bank
